New build residential
Sandbach, Cheshire East

Situated alongside the Trent & Mersey canal in Sandbach, Arkhi have successfully gained planning approval for this striking contemporary family home.

The structure is segregated into three angled components which are all intersected and united by the shared open plan communal living space in the centre. The building will have its main living area and bedrooms inclined to both enjoy the best views of the nearby waterway and to facilitate the creation of a ‘private’ garden area away from the sites' entrance.

The design aims to achieve both intimacy and separation by disconnecting the bedroom wings from each other, with each room having its own designated dressing and washing area, both with direct access into the communal space.

The dwelling is all at one level, (apart from the garage which has a separate annexe above to provide private guest accommodation), with exposed gables maximising natural light within the interior spaces.
