Ian is an accomplished architect with over a decade of experience in a range of sectors, including private residential, education, social care, and commercial. After earning his degree from the University of Liverpool in 2008, he worked in several architectural practices, refining his skills and gaining valuable knowledge.
In 2013, Ian joined Arkhi Architects as their first employee and has been an integral member of the team ever since. With a passion for contemporary design, sustainability, and modern building methods, he brings a creative eye and meticulous attention to detail to every project he works on.
As the company's in-house ICT guru, Ian is at the forefront of the latest technologies, continuously enhancing the firm's workflow and capabilities. His ability to incorporate cutting-edge advancements into their designs has been invaluable to Arkhi Architects.
One of Ian's most notable achievements was his design for the extension and refurbishment of the Grade II listed Lion and Swan Hotel in Congleton, which was shortlisted for a Northern Design Award in 2022. Through a careful balance of conservation, restoration, and remodelling techniques, he was able to create a truly exceptional space.
Outside of work, Ian enjoys immersing himself in nature and capturing his adventures through amateur photography. Whether he's getting his boots muddy at music festivals or exploring the beautiful countryside, he finds inspiration in the world around him.
