Keepers Cottage Construction Update

We’re pleased to share the latest progress from the construction phase at Keepers Cottage, where the Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) have now been fully installed on site. This marks an important step forward in the build, with the project now preparing for the installation of the flat roof, another key milestone in bringing the design closer to completion.

With the SIPs structure now in place, the form of the building has begun to reveal itself. The layout of the internal spaces and rooms is clearly emerging, allowing the scale, proportions, and flow of the design to be experienced for the first time beyond drawings and models. It’s always one of the most rewarding stages of the process, as the architecture starts to transition from concept to reality.

SIPs construction not only allows the building to take shape quickly but also provides excellent levels of insulation and airtightness, helping to create a highly energy-efficient structure. Seeing the shell assembled on site gives a strong sense of how the finished home will sit within its surroundings.

As work progresses toward the next phase, attention will soon turn to the installation of the flat roof, which will further define the building envelope and allow internal works to begin.
